Associate R&D Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate R&D Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing design verification testing in a GxP environment, analyzing data, and reporting results.

The Candidate:

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or biomedical engineering, with approximately 12 months of experience in a medical device design or manufacturing environment. They will possess excellent technical writing and reporting skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Execute Design Verification testing in GxP environment
  • Data Analysis and Test Reporting
  • Collaborate in defining evaluation and testing strategy for product/process changes
  • Support Regulatory submission
  • Create and/or update component specification
  • Investigations on product complaints and analysis of returned devices
  • Support to CAPA and Non Conformance process

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Honours degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
  • Approximately 12 months experience in a medical device design or manufacturing environment
  • Design and technical ability based on a broad and deep knowledge of fundamental engineering principles
  • Data review and statistical methods skills (Minitab)
  • High level of technical writing and reporting skills
  • Strong work ethic, creative problem solving, capable of working on own initiative
