Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our advisory group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects related to sustainability and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects;
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives;
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, team members, and clients;
  • Manage project plans, project status reports, RAID logs, and other reports as required;
  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues to generate new business opportunities;
  • Understand Grant Thornton's service offerings and identify opportunities to better serve clients;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a sustainability-related discipline;
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in GHG accounting, performing and reviewing GHG inventories across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 using the GHG Protocol;
  • Minimum 5+ years direct work experience in programme/project management capacity;
  • Professional experience in development of Net Zero strategies and/or Climate Transition Plans (preferable);
  • Strong knowledge of climate-related standards such as Science Based Targets initiative, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and ISO Net Zero Standard;
  • Experience with carbon markets and carbon credit registries or trading schemes;
  • Knowledge of evolving sustainability regulations;
  • Professional experience within Data Analytics, Energy Management, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Quality Management Systems;
  • Comfortable working under pressure, in a demanding environment and to tight deadline;
  • Project Management qualification (such as PRINCE2 or PMP).
