About this role

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for advising clients across sectors on climate and environmental risks at both strategic and operational levels. You will work closely with senior management to develop comprehensive understanding of client and work stream operations, processes, and business objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions for clients across various industries;
  • Conduct assessments of client operations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for reducing environmental impacts;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training programs on sustainability best practices;
  • Support the development of policies and procedures related to sustainability and environmental stewardship;
  • Analyze data and research to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in the field of sustainability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in advising clients on climate and environmental risks at both strategic and operational levels;
  • Demonstrable experience supporting organizations to assess and communicate how climate-related risks and opportunities influence business resilience, investment decisions, and long-term value;
  • Strong knowledge of climate disclosure frameworks (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, CDP) and evolving sustainability regulations (e.g., California SB 261, SB 253, TNFD);
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp complex topics beyond core areas of expertise and apply critical thinking to develop practical, tailored solutions.
