Job Title: Product Development Specialist

About the Role

This position will support the global product development team in optimizing our supply chain and network to reduce costs. The job involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products while minimizing production expenses.

The successful candidate will participate in executing assigned product development projects, contributing to the company's strategy of maximizing its manufacturing footprint in optimal cost regions. This will be achieved by developing knowledge and competency in all finishing process steps from the operations team and supporting knowledge transfer to sister sites.

  • Develop process flow and layouts for process integration, ensuring efficient supply chain and optimum process flow.
  • Manage the definition and introduction of new or moved capital equipment within our supply base and support associated URS/FS/RTM/EQ & Vendor communications.
  • Generate PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, etc., associated with product transfers, to ensure quality of process and product.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical, with 4+ years of work experience and relevant internship experience. They should possess deep knowledge in manufacturing processes, process development, process optimization, and project management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical ability to develop and optimize designs for mechanical assemblies incorporating DFM principles.
  • Ability to communicate moderate complexity plans and technical information to team members.
  • Experience with Equipment validation - URS/FS/RTM/EQ and vendor management experience.
