About the Job

This role involves configuring, maintaining and optimizing Cogito reporting databases to align with the environment strategy.

• Capacity planning to ensure sufficient system resources
• Monitoring database size and health
• Creating and managing plans for statistics and index maintenance

Key Responsibilities

1. Configuring and maintaining the Cogito databases according to the environment strategy
2. Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
3. Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues
4. Managing logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configuration
5. Applying RDMS upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments
6. Performing database backups and verifying restores
7. Participating in Change Control processes for all planned applications and technical activities
8. Ensuring Epic database changes are communicated to the necessary teams across the enterprise

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant field (Data Science or STEM subject) or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of the database operating systems
• Technically experienced in MS SQL Server analytical database platforms
