Audit and Compliance Specialist

The position involves managing an MLRO team to provide high-quality services in compliance with relevant regulations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining beneficial ownership registers and ensuring timely filing with the appropriate central registry.
You will also prepare quarterly MLRO Reports for fund boards and draft/maintain AML policies and risk assessments.
In addition, you will conduct on-site inspections, deliver ongoing/annual AML training to fund board members, and address financial sanctions or negative news alerts as necessary.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in project management.
Experience working in a similar role, particularly in the funds industry, is preferred but not essential.
We are looking for a highly organized individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining beneficial ownership registers for clients
- Filing these registers with the appropriate central registry
- Preparing quarterly MLRO reports for fund boards
- Drafting and maintaining AML policies and risk assessments
- Conducting on-site inspections at fund administrators
- Delivering ongoing and annual AML training to fund board members
- Addressing financial sanctions or negative news alerts as necessary
- An internationally recognized professional third-level qualification
- Professional qualifications and/or the LCI designation
- Fluency in AML/CFT legislation/regulation/industry best practice as it applies to the funds industry
