Medical Device Sourcing Specialist

Job Overview:

The Medical Device Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of sourcing and materials planning related to new product development & production of early stage medical devices.

This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Global Supply Chain, to ensure all purchased components are sourced & procured to meet established timelines and cost targets while maintaining strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop strategic sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings and quality improvements.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.
  3. Manage inventory levels and optimize supply chain processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  4. Contribute to the development of supply chain strategies and recommendations to support business growth and expansion.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  6. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
