Job Description

The role of a Cyber Security Specialist involves joining our team to provide support and implement network security solutions and services for clients. This requires proficiency with industry-leading technology, specifically Check Point certification ideally at CCSE level. Experience with other vendors such as Fortinet, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto is highly desirable.

This is a remote position, with occasional travel to Leeds and client sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical investigation utilizing a proactive approach to customer network security management in a range of network security solutions.
  • Configure and maintain existing deployed security solutions to a high level.
  • Take ownership of support requests from customers seeing through to resolution.
  • Delivery of proactive services, leading the customer into making better security decisions.
  • Perform a good level of troubleshooting across a range of vendor products to resolve customer issues.
  • Be familiar with key vendor technologies and strategies such as redundancy, availability, packet acceleration, load sharing, VPN, disaster recovery.
  • Perform minor and major version upgrades across a range of key vendors.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in security or networking.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous.
  • Self-motivation to learn, improve, and keep up to date with technologies and concepts within the security industry.
  • Demonstrate confidence and proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to make and commit to security decisions based on industry best practice.
