Job Description:
This Senior Sustainable Procurement role involves working closely with the procurement and delivery teams to ensure compliance with project governance, policies and procedures.
The role holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of responsible sourcing objectives and executing the balanced scorecard.
Key skills and qualifications required include a degree in engineering, construction or a related subject matter, advanced diploma in public procurement law, and professional membership of relevant institutions such as Engineers Ireland or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in public sector e-procurement and constraints, knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and Irish National Regulations and laws, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with procurement and delivery teams to implement responsible sourcing objectives
- Execute the balanced scorecard
- Champion responsible sourcing across the programme
- Support the development of carbon as a currency for the Programme
- Contractualise the sustainability plan for core contracts
