Accounts Payable Specialist Role Overview


As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's financial transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, maintaining a strong focus on detail and deadlines.


The key aspects of this position include:

  • Raising Purchase Orders where required
  • Accurately processing supplier invoices, with a strong emphasis on timeliness and precision
  • Liaising with various departments for invoice approvals
  • Matching and coding invoices
  • Preparing monthly and ad-hoc payment runs
  • Reconciliation on a monthly basis, proactively investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Providing critical support during month-end close activities and assisting with the annual audit process
  • Preparing monthly reports on key areas within accounts payable
  • Assisting with the set-up of new suppliers

We are seeking an experienced professional who can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounts payable role. Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries is desirable. You should also have a strong working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.


Additionally, you will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. A fluent written and spoken English is essential for this role, as you will be communicating with colleagues and clients on a regular basis.
