Financial Accountant

About the Role

This role is responsible for maintaining and monitoring general accounting for French entities. You will support the Accounting Manager in specific projects and missions, supervise the accounting team, and interact with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record manual entries in the ERP (Oracle) on a monthly basis and before the 2nd working day of the following month.
  • Analyze monthly transactions and balances of French entities according to USGAAP standards.
  • Participate in monthly closings through entries, analyses, and reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in the reconciliation tool (ARCS) according to the schedule determined by the group.
Your Key Deliverables:
  • Filing declarations and paying taxes according to legal and fiscal obligations.
  • Performing annual accounting closing operations and accounting closing in French standards.
  • Responding to requests during internal, external, and statutory audits.
  • Preparing and validating the tax package and legal file for general meetings.
Who You Will Interact With:
  • Members of the accounting team and management controllers on a daily basis.
  • Accounting services from other countries (Ireland, India, Italy) in English.
  • Variety of administrative, production services, SOX auditors, or tax administration occasionally.
  • Statutory auditors and financial consultants annually.
Requirements
  • Holder of a BAC+5 type DSCG, with significant experience of 5 to 10 years.
  • Fluent French & English and advanced Excel skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of dual-book accounting principles (USGAAP and French standards) and deferred taxes.
  • Experience with ORACLE would be a plus.
