Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

As a key team member, you will be involved in various stages of projects from conception to detailed design on projects primarily within the pharmaceutical and data centre spaces.

We are seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer with the ability to support project management and execution from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing electrical systems and services for Pharma and Mission Critical Facilities.

You will provide technical assistance to Senior Electrical Engineers, implementing quality standards and reviewing other electrical engineers' work for accuracy and quality.

Additionally, you will participate in client and project meetings, as well as site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design of electrical systems and services for Pharma and Mission Critical Facilities
  • Provide technical support to Senior Electrical Engineers
  • Implementing Quality standards
  • Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews
  • Attend and participate in client and project meetings
  • Participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Working knowledge of Auto CAD and Revit would be an advantage, but not essential
  • 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design
  • Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services
