Administrative Support for the Director of Nursing

The Dublin Dental University Hospital is seeking a PA to provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing, Grade IV. This is a full-time and permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Director of Nursing.
  • Support the efficient running of the Nursing department and all its activities.
  • Liaise with staff and departments to organise Occupational Health events and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases for personnel, Hepatitis B records, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvements.
  • Deal with incoming correspondence and arrange meetings.
  • Process employee leave requests and maintain associated records.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings and contribute to the management of the Nursing department.
  • Develop strategies in line with the University and Hospital's overall goals and objectives.
  • Review and develop best practice policies, procedures, and auditing tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • A comparable and relevant third-level qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven organisational, administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
