Electrical Engineering Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Design Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging opportunity for individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and have a passion for innovative design solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, software, and tools, with a strong focus on technical project management. As part of our multi-disciplinary design teams, you will work closely with senior directors on large-scale industrial projects in Ireland and Europe.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. The ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities is essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and clients to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Lead or participate in design teams, coordinating all elements of the design process and interaction with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of designs, specifications, and testing results.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Third-Level Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with chartership.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering design and delivery, including expertise in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with SKM (PTW) and Trimble/Amtech electrical design software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CIBSE and ASHRAE Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards, and IEC Standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
