
Critical Facilities Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the facilities management team, overseeing day-to-day operations and maintenance of data centre facilities. This involves managing technical teams, ensuring reliability and efficiency of critical systems, and driving operational excellence. Strong leadership skills and technical knowledge are essential for success in this role.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in data centre operations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive improvements in process performance and technical standards across the site. They will work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and delivering results within a dynamic business environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Team Management: Develop and manage technical teams operating across the site, focusing on maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Talent Development: Mentor and grow technical staff across the site, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices in engineering.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track performance levels of technical teams against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Operational Standards: Define and implement technical operational standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Emergency Response: Oversee emergency response planning and procedures, ensuring prompt action in case of technical issues or escalations.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, identifying areas for growth and implementing design improvements.
- Training and Development: Develop and maintain training programs for technical staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to meet operational requirements.
- Technical Knowledge: Minimum 8 years of experience working in critical operations and 5 years of management experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with a strong understanding of CMMS systems, technical infrastructure, and emergency response procedures.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work outside normal hours to resolve technical issues in a 24/7 industry.
