Endoscopy Unit Leader

The Clinical Nurse Manager is a key role within the Endoscopy unit, responsible for coordinating and managing activities to ensure safe, quality-assured, and efficient services for patients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care to ensure high professional standards using evidence-based care planning approaches.
- Provide clinical leadership and comprehensive nursing care to service users in accordance with guidelines.
- Facilitate coordination, cooperation, and liaison across healthcare teams.
- Plan and organize schedules within the Endoscopy unit in conjunction with senior staff members.
- Supervise daily activities of the endoscopy team.
- Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A registered general nurse qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- At least 2 years' experience in a management role within a busy endoscopy service.
- Previous experience in a private healthcare setting would be advantageous.
- Experience with JAG accreditation would be desirable.
- Leadership skills and ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of quality audit/assurance systems.
- Experience in change management.
- Excellent communication skills.
This role offers:
- Flexible working hours.
- 12 hour shift patterns.
- Day shift and weekend work required.
- Ability to commute or relocate to Waterford.
