As a system architect, you will design and build complex systems from the ground up and make substantial technical and business contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure
  • Own software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure
  • Work comfortably in an agile, collaborative environment
Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages like Python
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and network architectures
  • Knowledge of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
  • Desire to learn Linux or strong Linux experience
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Experience with multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a plus

  • Software engineering experience with distributed systems in large-scale environments
  • 3-5+ years resolving challenging issues with a self-motivated attitude
  • Virtualization experience is a significant plus
