Manufacturing Technician Role

We are currently recruiting for technical professionals to support manufacturing operations across various disciplines such as Surface Mount Technology, E Beam, and Packing.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise to repair, maintain, or modify production equipment utilizing precision tools, test equipment, and technical manuals.

  • You will analyze data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output to ensure optimal cycle times, and meet specific Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure the operational efficiency of machines and production equipment is maintained at desired standards.
  • Monitor processes, run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and create comprehensive reports for resolution methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance, diagnosing, and troubleshooting faults, and undertaking repairs, collaborating with external contractors when necessary.
  • Performing complex skilled maintenance and repair tasks, including mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Interpreting blueprints and schematics to inform maintenance decisions.
  • Assisting in the compilation and presentation of technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output.
  • Leading on maintenance and/or process issues, working independently or as a team member.
  • Certifying and training manufacturing associates in production processes.
  • Evaluating operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Developing or revising documents and procedures to ensure adherence to industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 6 qualification in a technical discipline.
  • Desirable Electrical and Mechanical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical industries essential.
  • Experience within Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment beneficial.
  • Technical and fault-finding skills crucial.
  • Surface mount technology experience advantageous.
