Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team.

  • This is a key role in the service and maintenance of industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out service & maintenance functions on refrigeration systems, providing support to other Service regions, company departments and divisions as required.

As a Refrigeration Mechanic you will:

  1. Be proactive and work with other engineers to complete tasks, prioritising your workload to enable maximum efficiency within existing systems and procedures.
  2. Liaise with customers, engineers, administration staff, management and other team members ensuring timely responses to enquiries and returning paperwork and dockets to the office.
  3. Provide support to other Service regions, company departments and divisions as required.
  4. Carry out mechanical duties, including fault-finding, rectification works, service and maintenance functions when required.
  5. Undertake basic research and work on own initiative without unnecessary referral.
  6. Flexible – able to cope with a variety of demands, and to work with individuals at all levels.
  7. High-level interpersonal skills – able to communicate with people on all levels – must be a 'team player' and customer orientated.
  8. Must be confidential and discrete in all circumstances.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Service and maintenance of industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  2. Providing support to other Service regions, company departments and divisions as required.
  3. Partaking in a standby rota for out of hours service calls and emergency callouts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  4. Undertaking mechanical duties, including fault-finding, rectification works, service and maintenance functions when required.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Good interpersonal skills, with a self-confident approach and flexible attitude to the job role.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours on occasions as required by the role.
