Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a skilled procurement professional to manage the sourcing and purchasing of mechanical components and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the Mechanical Sector. They will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, and monitoring supplier performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and procuring equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications and production requirements
- Evaluating potential suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Negotiating favourable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery schedules
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies
- Providing input on design changes and alternatives to optimise costs
Requirements include excellent computer and report writing skills, a results-oriented approach, and strong attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
