Electro Mechanical Applications Engineer

This role involves working with a small dynamic team of engineers to deliver technical support and expertise to customers. The successful candidate will be given in-depth training on the company's technology and products, and will be relied upon as a trusted technical advisor and partner.

The engineer will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, including installation, set-up, calibration and customer training. They will also travel to customer sites and provide remote and on-site support, including documentation of customer interaction and issue logging.

The ideal candidate will have 4 years' experience as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer/Technician or similar technical role, and will be qualified to at least diploma level in a mechanical, electronics or electrical discipline. They will also have experience with prototype building and debug, including hardware, electronics, optics, cameras, illumination, and wireless networking/data communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers
  • Travel to customer sites for installation, set-up, calibration and customer training
  • Provide remote and on-site support, including documentation of customer interaction and issue logging
  • Contribute to new product research & development, design and prototype testing, and setting up / performing suitable test suites for new products
