Job Description:

  • A Post Primary Teacher delivers educational services to students in line with the Teaching Council's Code of Professional Conduct for Teachers.
  • They provide learning and support, as appropriate, and teach the curriculum subject areas of Irish and Physical Education.

Responsibilities:

  • Teachers must deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Accurate records of student progress and achievements are maintained.
  • Effective lesson plans are developed and implemented to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • A positive and inclusive classroom environment is fostered, promoting social skills and emotional intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Post Primary Teachers require a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching Council registration is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in teaching Irish and Physical Education to secondary-level students is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
