We are seeking a dedicated Relief Social Care Worker to join our team in Laois/Offaly. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing care and support to vulnerable children and young people.
The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team, providing relief care to various services across the organisation. This may involve working in mainstream settings, preparation for leaving care, or services for separated children seeking international protection.
About the Role:
Job DescriptionAs a Relief Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
You will also be responsible for facilitating family time, promoting education and training, and ensuring that the social, educational, occupational, recreational, medical, dietary, and religious needs of our young people are met.
Additionally, you will engage in risk management assessments, respond to identified risks, and work with the Children in line with the Welltree Model of Care in Harmony Care.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a BA in Applied Social Care Work (level 7/8) or equivalent. A full clean Driving Licence is also desirable.
