Automation Specialist Role

The Automation Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new equipment, program, simulate, and test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing automation components using CAD software
  • Analysing production processes to identify opportunities for automation
  • Managing supply chain issues and performing regular maintenance on automation equipment
  • Writing requirements for quality assurance and machine operation
  • Regularly calibrating and repairing equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computer science engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years previous experience in an automation role (preferably within injection moulding)
  • Strong understanding of various automation tools - controls, computers, measurement sensors, actuators, automation testing software
