Offset Printing Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Offset Printing Specialist to join our team in County Offaly. With a proven track record of running offset printing presses or web fed reel presses, you will be responsible for preparing machines for high-quality printing and achieving precise colour and register.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience in a similar position, relevant trade qualification, and strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures for handling materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Preparation: Organise plates, inks, and board for optimal printing performance.
  • Job Management: Review job list to ensure accuracy and completeness, ensuring all information is correct and jobs are ready for printing.
  • Colour and Register: Achieve precise colour and register standards through meticulous machine setup and operation.
  • Documentation and Waste Minimisation: Complete all necessary documentation and ensure minimal waste during production.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Carry out regular maintenance on the machine as per schedule to prevent downtime.
  • Fault Reporting: Identify and report any faults or issues that may impact production.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels of inks and varnishes to maintain optimal printing conditions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures for handling materials and equipment.
