Job Description

The Chief Operating Officer Legal will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the legal practice. This includes managing the accounts, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations, and maintaining accurate records.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and previous experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential. Staff management experience is essential and a highly motivated individual with highly developed organizational skills is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts and ensuring accuracy
  • Compliance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations
  • Liaising with firm's accountant and book-keeper
  • Day to day responsibility for accounts
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential
  • Staff management experience is essential
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to take on and complete tasks within agreed time-scales
