About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety or environmental management, with experience in identifying potential hazards and developing effective control measures.

As a SHEQ Officer, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, conduct regular safety inspections and environmental assessments, and provide training to employees and contractors.

  • Identify potential hazards and develop effective control measures

  • Provide training to employees and contractors
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop corrective actions
  • Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational health issues

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Our SHEQ Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Providing training and support to employees and contractors on safety and environmental procedures
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, and developing corrective actions
Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
