Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the theatre department, focusing on safe care delivery, efficient operations, and excellent patient experience.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of theatre nurses, promoting a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence.
  • Quality and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Service Development: Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, drive innovation, and enhance patient experience.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Be registered, or eligible for registration, in the General Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by NMBI.
  • Experience: Possess 5+ years of experience in senior nurse management capacity within a theatre environment.
  • Certifications: A qualification in Peri-operative Nursing is desirable.
  • Educational Qualifications: A MSc/MA in healthcare management or equivalent.
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in Ireland.
