Facilities Maintenance Role

The role of a facilities maintenance technician involves performing routine and preventative building maintenance tasks. These can include work in one or more fields such as ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, heating, carpentry and fabric repairs.

The technician will be responsible for delivering day-to-day support to ensure the smooth running of facilities services, providing an exceptional customer experience within client sites. This includes working collaboratively with the on-site facilities team to complete planned reactive and preventative tasks.

The job requires the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team to solve problems with professionalism and service-focused approach. The technician should be able to meet tight deadlines and keep up to date with industry trends and have direct experience or an interest in facilities management and customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the on-site facilities team
  • Undertake small mechanical installation works and repairs
  • Supervise maintenance work executed by vendors
  • Provide a first-line fix and competency in terms of electrical and kitchen power issues
  • Perform fabric related repairs
  • Conduct quality audits and complete daily checks
  • Work closely with contractors and vendors
Requirements:
  • Direct facilities maintenance experience (minimum 2 years) in a technical role
  • Technical qualification and/or trade license
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management system
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Working Life:

On a daily basis, you will be working across a large office site. The main business language spoken in our offices is English, and knowledge of English is essential. The role will be structured on a shift basis over a 5-day week, with occasional weekend, late shifts, or bank holidays. You may also be required to work on call 24 hours a day in rotation with your colleagues or attend emergency call-outs to ensure business continuity.
