Senior Data Architect

Reperio has partnered with a company in Dublin that's looking for a Senior Data Architect to join their expanding team. In this role, you'll lead the development of robust, scalable data pipelines on cloud-based platforms, ensuring high data quality, availability, and performance across the organization.

Desired skills:

  • Data engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud data platforms.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and cost optimization.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Airflow or AWS-native alternatives).
  • Familiar with dbt for transformation logic and data modelling (nice to have).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.
  • Comfortable working in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code environments.

In this role, you'll play a strategic role in shaping the data architecture, tools, and best practices. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that drive business outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. 6+ years of data engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud data platforms.
  2. Proven experience building data pipelines using cloud services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM.
  3. Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and cost optimization.
  4. Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
  5. Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Airflow or AWS-native alternatives).
  6. Familiar with dbt for transformation logic and data modelling (nice to have).
  7. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.
  8. Comfortable working in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code environments.
