Job Overview

We are seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling campaigns across various channels and working closely on PR and content creation for both B2B and B2C audiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exceptional time management and prioritisation skills to be part of a small, agile marketing team within our wider Proposition Department. The role offers a 50/50 split between office and remote work, allowing you to balance your work-life needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the planning, management, and delivery of a comprehensive communications strategy, with a particular focus on PR, within agreed timescales and across channels.

  2. Develop and deliver press releases and articles that raise key issues and support our brand positioning.

  3. Deliver thought-leadership campaigns and manage relevant updates across collateral ensuring a consistent application of any change across all media channels.

  4. Develop and produce high-quality and consistent content for online channels, including websites, social media, newsletters, and emails.

  5. Seek creative and effective ways of promoting our Purpose, proposition benefits, service, and brand to Financial Brokers and customers.

  6. Assist with the delivery of a comprehensive marketing plan, supporting the wider team, within agreed timescales.

  7. Work with internal specialists and translate technical information into digestible and easily understood content, complying with industry regulations.

  8. Coordinate and ensure key stakeholder engagement in all campaigns and communications.

  9. Brief and work with external agencies (design/print/creative/PR) to support campaigns and projects within agreed timescales.

  10. Educated in a marketing/communications discipline.

  11. Experience in a marketing/communications role, with responsibility for delivering meaningful PR outputs (media engagement not required).

  12. Experience in content creation, and editing across a variety of media, both traditional and digital, but ideally with a particular focus on PR.

  13. Strong time management and project management skills.

  14. Professional, positive, and collaborative attitude and work style.

  15. Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry (protection/pensions) and legislative environment.

  16. Experience in the Financial Broker market.
