Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Market Expansion to spearhead our growth and enhance market presence. You will be responsible for discovering new business opportunities and fostering strong client relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Analyse the competitive landscape and market trends to forecast business goals.
  • Leverage Data Analytics: Utilise data analytics tools to gain deeper insights into market trends and customer behaviour.
  • Encourage innovation by identifying and exploring new product ideas and business models.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic business development plans.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting to the management team.
  • Risk Management: Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential business risks.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs.
  • Implement systems to gather and act on customer feedback to improve products and services.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align company goals and strategies.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Position the company as a thought leader by contributing to industry publications and speaking at conferences.
  • Work on increasing brand awareness through strategic partnerships and sponsorships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience at Senior Business Development Manager/Director level in DC sector, working direct/indirect with Hyperscale and Enterprise clients
  • Extensive experience in a sales environment with a strong background in the Construction sector
  • Travel required in Europe or as needed
  • Ability to analyse market data and trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Strong strategic planning skills to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities to inspire and guide the business development team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
