We are seeking an experienced Environmental Assessment Expert to join our team at Mott MacDonald. As a key member of our Buildings and Cities Unit, you will work on a wide range of projects in the energy, water, and transport sectors.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience in ecological assessment and reporting, with a strong understanding of Irish environmental and planning processes. You will be responsible for:

  1. Working with cross-disciplinary teams to inform preliminary design, statutory consent, and construction stage projects;
  2. Drafting high-quality reports, including biodiversity sections of environmental impact assessments;
  3. Interpreting ecological monitoring data and conducting ecology-related surveys;
  4. Managing data using GIS and preparing shapefiles and maps;

You will also have a sound appreciation of Irish environmental legislation and guidance, as well as excellent communication skills. If you have a relevant degree and consultancy experience focused on ecology, we encourage you to apply.
