About the Role

We are seeking a skilled engineer to fill an immediate vacancy for a Project Engineer to join our Tendering & Design Team based in Ireland.

As a Tendering Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in preparing and submitting competitive bids for water and wastewater projects.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our proposals meet technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements while aligning with our company's strategic objectives.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable water solutions and work on innovative projects making a positive impact on communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Tendering Team in managing both commercial and technical requirements associated with tender submissions for Water, Wastewater, and pumping applications in Municipal and industrial Markets through the Northwest Region.
  2. Review tender documents, interpret specifications, and understand customer needs.
  3. Develop designs and project build bills of materials to ensure accurate and value-for-money solutions can be provided.
  4. Develop P&IDs and layout tender drawings where required.
  5. Review commercial terms and conditions.
  6. Prepare technical tender submissions and support Health & Safety and Quality documentation.
  7. Ensure projects are delivered without compromise on safety and quality, coordinating safety, and liaising with the HSQE department.
  8. Ensure submissions meet client specifications and project scopes.
  9. Support the design team in delivering innovative solutions using modern technologies.
  10. Support project delivery teams with design and procurement to achieve successful project delivery.
  11. Create project programmes and ensure all required project interfaces are allowed for from design to final site commissioning and handover.
  12. Get involved in project delivery where required, including liaison and coordination with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  13. Write engineering reports, method statements, and commissioning schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in PC skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong engineering analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial understanding of contracting deliverables.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Proven experience in a similar design & engineering role in a Mechanical & Electrical environment.
  • Experience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time-restricted schedule.
  • Organise and plan technical meetings with clients and consulting engineers.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise, and accomplish stated deadlines.
  • Project management/site management/M&E installation, personnel management, and any water &/or wastewater industry experience will be an advantage.
