Job Description

As a MetroLink Archaeologist, you will be responsible for advising on the archaeological implications and associated risks of the proposed MetroLink scheme, managing archaeological procurement and contracts, and ensuring compliance with Ministerial Consents and archaeological licenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Expert Advice
">

You will provide expert advice to our design team on the archaeological implications and associated risks of the proposed MetroLink scheme at all stages, from planning to completion.

">
  • Managing Contracts and Procurement
">

You will manage archaeological procurement and contracts in accordance with TII and national procurement guidelines and standards.

">
  • Ensuring Compliance
">

You will ensure compliance with Ministerial Consents and archaeological licenses, as well as providing bi-monthly progress reports to the Head of Archaeology and Heritage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
  • Education and Qualifications
">

A third-level qualification (NFQ Level 8 or Higher) in Archaeology is required, along with membership of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland or an equivalent organisation.

  • Skills and Experience
">

A minimum of 5 years' relevant postgraduate experience in archaeology, with a proven ability in project managing the archaeological and heritage aspects of major infra-structural projects.
