Warehouse Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the warehouse, including materials handling, receiving and shipping.


About the Role

The overall objective of this position is to support the efficient operation of the warehouse. This will involve working in the materials handling, receiving and shipping areas and requiring a high level of computer literacy and physical effort.

This role will report to the Warehouse Shift Manager and work as part of a supportive team environment. Flexibility is required due to the rotating shift nature of the role.

This is a 12-month contract role, open to both male and female applicants.


Key Responsibilities
  • Performing safety inspections to ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Movement of raw materials and finished goods, fork truck driving, bulk tanker unloading, cycle counting, inventory control, receiving and shipping.
  • Receiving – unloading, inspecting, receiving, sampling and locating all ingredients, packaging and finished product that arrives at the plant.
  • Production support – ensuring continuous supply of ingredients and packaging to production and filling lines. Support shipping and receiving.
  • Shipping – Inspecting, counting and loading outbound shipments, completing all paperwork, preparing shipment samples, bracing loads.
  • Relabel, picking and any other warehouse tasks.
  • Operational Excellence – Support the Operational Excellence Program and Continuous Improvement culture in Ballina Beverages.
  • Digitalization – Support the design of Plant of the Future solutions and recommendations.
  • Documentation – Accurate completion of all necessary documentation. Ensure compliance to all documented procedures and GMP requirements.

Requirements
  • Able to thrive within a supportive team environment.
  • Good understanding of mathematical, mechanical, and communication skills.
  • Solid computer literacy with an eagerness to further develop technical skills.
  • Enjoying the dynamic nature of manufacturing and actively contributing to constant improvement efforts.
  • Offering suggestions on ways to optimize processes to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Being flexible to work different shifts as required.

What You'll Need To Apply
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification (Level 5).
  • Ideal candidate would have 1 year of warehouse experience or be interested in gaining experience in this industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP beneficial.
  • Previous experience driving a Fork-Lift Truck advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP System advantageous.
