Job Description

Financial Analysis Role Overview:

This role supports strategic and operational decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive profitability and efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate must be able to identify, investigate, understand, and articulate trends. They should also be able to present data in a form that can quickly and efficiently aid analysis and decision making.

The incumbent will work using their own initiative to enhance existing and develop new reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and in-depth analysis of the financial performance of the business unit, including revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Coordinate the forecasting and budgeting process for the business unit.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers to support and inform decision making on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve financial outcomes.
  • Support pricing, cost analysis, and investment appraisals for new initiatives or projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to aid business planning and decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Relevant third-level degree and relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA, Chartered Accountant).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
