Production Operations Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operations Specialist to collaborate with our Shift Supervisor in maintaining the efficiency of production operations.

This role offers exceptional hands-on experience in injection and silicone moulding as well as automated assembly, driving productivity and quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Shift Supervisor in optimising production processes, minimising downtime, and reducing rejects.
  • Set up and change moulds, perform basic machine maintenance, and resolve breakdowns promptly.
  • Evaluate process performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance machine efficiency.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet shift requirements.
Quality & Safety
  • Maintain product quality by adhering to specifications and company standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment through adherence to health, safety, cleanroom, and hygiene procedures.
  • Verify that machinery, moulds, and materials are always in safe working condition.
Leadership & Team Support
  • Provide clear communication and guidance to production operatives, fostering collaboration and shared goals.
  • Step in to manage and supervise the shift team during the supervisor's absence.
  • Support employee training and maintain accurate records of completed sessions.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to performance enhancements across output, quality, safety, cost, and people management.
  • Analyse production results, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and quality improvements.
  • Sustain compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Rapidly escalate issues and concerns to management for prompt resolution.
Candidate Requirements
  • A recent engineering qualification or equivalent experience as an electrician/fitter.
  • A practical approach with strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot efficiently.
  • Interest or experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly is highly desirable.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
