Senior Quantity Surveyor Position

This is a senior-level role within a multi-disciplinary team that manages the procurement, development, and operation of physical infrastructure.

The position involves providing strategic commercial advice to capital development programmes, overseeing performance of external Quantity Surveying consultants, and supporting capital programme delivery aligned with national health priorities.

Key responsibilities include advising on procurement strategies, cost management practices, and life-cycle cost planning, ensuring projects meet government infrastructure and sustainability standards.

  • Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to capital development programmes.
  • Oversee the performance of external Quantity Surveying consultants and internal project controls.
  • Support capital programme delivery from concept to completion, aligned with national health priorities.
  • Advise on procurement strategies, cost management practices, and life-cycle cost planning.
  • Ensure projects meet government infrastructure and sustainability standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Quantity Surveying, accredited by SCSI or RICS.
  • Registration as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007.
  • Full professional membership of SCSI and/or RICS.
  • 5 - 7 years' relevant professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
