Job Title: Systems Architecture Engineer

  • Architect and design battery management systems, battery state algorithms or EV powertrain systems for automotive
  • Understanding of the working theory of lithium-ion batteries and familiarity with new chemistries
  • Requirement's definition and management (traceability, disaggregation)
  • Experience with articulating and presenting concepts to Customers and uncovering their needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to understand and clearly articulate technical issues
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically and support automotive customers

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop complex algorithms such as battery state estimation and health algorithms (SoC, SoH, SoP) for automotive or industrial applications
  2. Electrical System modelling experience in MATLAB or similar tools
  3. Familiarity with sysML and tools like Enterprise Architect
  4. Participate on industry standards groups and further education is encouraged and supported
  5. Conduct architecture design reviews with the project team
  6. Work closely with other System Domain experts and the hardware, software and testing teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering; MSEE or MSCE and 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Deep experience in BMS cell and pack measurement, communications, processing, and control
  • Deep experience in developing electrical system models using MATLAB or similar tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and articulate technical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams and automotive customers
