Job Title: Contract Specialist
">About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with a leading Main Contractor on projects valued up to €15M across Galway and into the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
- Work with the design team to plan works for new projects and create a programme for new projects.
- Report to and support senior management.
- Direct and manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
- Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Project Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
- Oversee multiple projects at a time and ensure that any issues that arise during construction are handled in a timely manner without compromising the standard of works.
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
- All applicants must have a proven history of working on Public Works Projects.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Contracts Manager/Senior Project Manager.
- Proven experience of overseeing high value projects from concept through to completion.
- Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and projects at a time.
- Ability to work closely with the design team to ensure a smooth delivery of a high standard project.
- Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
