Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef to join our team of relief staff working in the public healthcare sector. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing modified diets and working in all sections of the kitchen.

You will work as part of a team and take instruction from senior chefs. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and experience the challenges of working in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established menus and recipes
  • Assist in the preparation of modified diets for patients with specific dietary requirements
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Degree or certification in Professional Cookery or Culinary Arts
  • Previous experience working as a chef in a high-volume environment, or production kitchens
  • Manual Handling & HACCP Level 2 training (training can be provided)
  • Visa or GNIB (if applicable)
  • International Police Clearance (if lived abroad for 6+ months)
