Automation Engineering Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Limerick. This is a full-time, permanent role offering excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality automation solutions using modern technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams. They will also develop software for bespoke machinery and manufacturing systems, engage directly with customers to understand and deliver on technical requirements, and review and improve current technologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using modern automation technologies
  • Develop software for bespoke machinery and manufacturing systems
  • Engage directly with customers to understand and deliver on technical requirements
  • Review and improve current technologies and processes
  • Support operations with technical problem-solving
  • Prepare project documentation and manage change control
Requirements:
  • A third-level degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Practical experience in automation (Siemens, Allen Bradley, OSI PI Historian, VBA are all beneficial)
  • Networking knowledge (Cisco certification or VMware experience is a plus)
  • Understanding of robotics and safety standards is advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • A full driving licence
