Job Overview

The Mill Electrical/ Instrumentation Craft Person will work within a team to participate in all aspects of the daily electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance and development within the mill department area of responsibility.

This position is open to both external and internal applicants who have a qualified Electrical/ Instrumentation craftsperson (QQI Level 6 Craft Qualification) coupled with experience in instrumentation and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all duties promoting environmental, health, safety, and quality performance in line with applicable procedures.
  • Maintenance, repair, and development of all mill department equipment and systems to comply with relevant electrical and automation standards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks for new and existing equipment and systems as directed and/or scheduled.
  • Facilitate transfer of information relating to electrical maintenance using online systems where provided.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance routines and systems.
  • Ensure housekeeping and cleaning of all own work areas.
  • Comply with staffing requirements and start/end shifts at appointed times.
  • Work with new systems and equipment and maintain knowledge of new technology.
  • Attend training and development courses as required.
