Residential Support Worker Opportunities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Tipperary. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting service users with their daily activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. You will work closely with the care team to develop person-centered plans and ensure that each individual receives tailored support to meet their unique needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the principles of person-centered care and be able to communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues. You will also require excellent observational skills, patience, and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations.

The ideal candidate will possess a QQI Level 5 Qualification in Health or Social Care, along with 6 months' experience in a similar role working with adults with intellectual disabilities. A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence is also required.

  • Provide direct practical help, support, and guidance to individuals in their activities of daily living.
  • Assist service users in developing their Person Centred Plan and in achieving their goals.
  • Foster a respectful and positive attitude towards service users, treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
  • Report any concerns you have for the safety and welfare of the service users.
