Manufacturing Operations Manager

This is a key role within our manufacturing team, responsible for the efficient organization and leadership of a production team to meet productivity plans. The Production Team Leader will be accountable for achieving targets in productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote adherence to Health & Safety regulations
- Manage throughput, labor efficiency, and quality metrics
- Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster positive employee relations and team versatility
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality system requirements
- Ensure timely training and maintain related records
- Report manufacturing issues daily to the Supervisor
- Use in-house systems to track key metrics like batch analysis and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Conduct performance appraisals, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Drive continuous improvement where performance is below expectations
- Manage daily team roster, resources, work orders, and materials
- Close production work orders in online systems
- Record stock levels, maintain production logs, and open work orders
- Cover breaks and absenteeism on the line
- Investigate and report on Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) activities
- Arrange post-pack audits and record keeping
- Update packing instructions in quality management systems
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of business systems
- An understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and production processes
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to make decisions and communicate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
