Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons to stimulate students and enhance their confidence in learning the language.
  • Participate in the activities programme to provide a culturally enriching experience for students.
  • Supervise students outside the classroom, oversee their welfare, safety, and discipline at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the program delivered is integrated and meets the needs of all students.
Teaching Responsibilities
  • Attend training sessions prior to the course.
  • Teach 15–30 hours of English lessons on five days per week.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons as assigned, ensuring materials are ready before the lesson.
  • Follow the framework syllabus with a focus on language skills.
  • Use recommended resources respecting copyright requirements.
Activities Responsibilities
  • Encourage full participation by students in scheduled activities.
  • Ensure students' welfare and safety during activities or excursions.
  • Assist with the welcome and induction of students.
Essential Criteria
  • A primary degree from a recognized third-level institution.
  • Recognized ESL/EFL qualification in English Language Teaching.
  • Experience working with teenagers is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • An interest in other cultures and professional appearance.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience leading cultural or recreational activities.
  • Knowledge of Irish culture and history to enhance the student experience.
