Staff Nurse General Ward
The UPMC Whitfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Nurse to join our team. As a Staff Nurse in the General Ward, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the ward.

Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest possible standard of care to all patients. You will act as preceptor to preregistration students, mentor new clinical staff, and support and guide all colleagues when needed. You will also liaise with link lecturers from affiliated nurse education departments, developing and maintaining UPMC Whitfield Hospital as a recognised learning environment for student nurses. Additionally, you will develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a good team spirit and collaborative working practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of one year's post-registration experience. You will need to be registered in the General Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by NMBI and hold Basic Life Support Certification. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A knowledge of IT systems and equipment used in the clinical environment would also be beneficial.
