The CUH Emergency Department provides comprehensive adult, paediatric, resuscitation, ambulatory, and observational medicine streams. It is designated to offer pre-hospital support with rapid response teams and telemedicine advice for advanced paramedics.

At Cork University Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team providing 24/7 care in multiple specialties on campus, including adults, paediatrics, maternity, and mental health services. As one of the busiest hospitals in Ireland, we aim to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Our hospital serves as a regional centre for secondary and tertiary care, providing supra-regional services across southern Ireland and covering multiple healthcare areas.

As a Level 1 trauma centre, we provide comprehensive emergency care, stroke thrombectomy, cardiovascular surgery, and coagulation services. We also host cystic fibrosis treatment and are one of eight NCCP Cancer Centres, offering complete tumour pathways and treatments.

The Cork University Hospitals Group includes three hospitals: Wilton, Mallow General, and Bantry General. Our strong academic relationships and focus on clinical research ensure that we remain at the forefront of medical innovation.
