Job Description:

The role of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is pivotal in driving quality across our technology delivery lifecycle.

This individual will lead by example, championing best practices in both manual and automated testing, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

A proactive mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams are essential for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with QA, Development, Product, and DevOps teams to embed quality at every stage of the SDLC.
  • Own test planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring traceability and full visibility for all stakeholders.
  • Advocate for quality within Agile SCRUM teams, working closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to define acceptance criteria and refine user stories.
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, reflecting current standards and practices.
  • Analyse test results and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor junior QA analysts, promoting a collaborative and high-performing QA team.
  • Contribute to QA process improvement initiatives and help define the QA roadmap in alignment with organisational objectives.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead QA role.
  • Proven expertise in both manual and automated testing environments, with a strong understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, influencing cross-functional teams and driving quality outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
  • A passion for quality and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent QA accreditation.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, qTest, X-Ray, SQL, and Confluence.
  • Strong experience with API testing and automation tools (e.g., Sahi Pro, Selenium, Postman).
  • Familiarity with Azure services is advantageous.
